PLEASE NOTE THAT MODERN CARS ARE NOT ADMITTED.
For the 2026 edition, the committee has created 5 categories:
Barchettas on the lake
The lake might be frozen for The I.C.E., but that doesn’t mean we cannot enjoy our ‘little boats’ on its shining surface. The “barchetta” nickname was coined in 1948 by journalist Giovanni Canestrini for the wonderfully agile Ferrari 166. But little did he know that one day we would see the most spectacular open two-seater cars from the 1950s being actually driven on water.
Open Wheels
Vintage Formula 1 cars, from the Golden Age of motorsport to the Youngtimers, are a genuine symbol of speed, elegance, and fearless ambition. Who could ever forget the sight and sound of daredevils like Juan Manuel Fangio, Stirling Moss, Jackie Stewart, or Niki Lauda, chasing glory in their unique monocoque racers?
Birth of the Hypercar
A tribute to the earliest hypercars from the early ’80s into the 2000s—machines that were once poster cars, inspiring an entire generation will now be standing proudly among the all-time classics. These vehicles were the first to blur the line between road and race cars, laying the foundation for an ongoing pursuit of extreme engineering and captivating aesthetics.
Icons on Wheels
St. Moritz has always been a place of longing for the international jet-set. And once the hautevolée arrived, they did so in regal elegance and style. This category celebrates the automotive royalty and true queens on four wheels – bringing together the most iconic cars of the 20th century.
Legendary Liveries
Of the many cars that made history in motorsport, let’s celebrate the visual impact of their liveries. From historic branding to artistic collaboration, the special liveries of the past have successfully elevated these automobiles into the social consciousness and secured their place in cultural history.
