St. Moritz, 21 February 2022 – Dream cars, international collectors and enthusiasts met at the I.C.E. The most awaited event of the year, on Saturday 26 February, will celebrate all the best of vintage motoring in a context that has absolutely no equal. The snow-capped peaks of the Upper Engadin will provide the backdrop against the frozen lake surface on which about fifty classic, vintage and racing cars will rest in the Concours d’Elegance, which was specially created to offer a magical opportunity to get together at this special time of year. Collectors flock from all over the world to enjoy this unique experience of driving their classic cars on the most exclusive snow-covered track in the Alps, usually reserved for horse races, while the public of enthusiasts will enjoy a truly unique event, immersing themselves in the evocative atmosphere that only St. Moritz, on top of the world, can offer on a late winter’s day.
There are three major themes related to the participating cars of the I.C.E. St. Moritz – International Concours of Elegance 2022: Cinema, Racing and Lifestyle. Very important cars in terms of collector’s value, but above all as iconic interpreters of the history of world motoring. As many as six single-seaters, eight of the most famous barchette of the 50s, ten road racing cars and others featured in unforgettable movies. From Alfa Romeo to Aston Martin, passing through Ferrari models of the 50s, 60s and 70s up to the most famous Maserati, Pagani and Porsche, the extraordinary parterre of models entered in the Competition will be evaluated on the basis of five categories by a mixed and diverse Jury, united by the genuine passion for the car and for beauty.
Here is our 2022 Jury, chaired by Marco Makaus, author, automotive alcoholic, expert in collectibles, “voice” of the Mille Miglia, as well as creator and Patron of THE I.C.E. St.Moritz:
